Our Mission

Since 1937, the sole mission of the Halifax Humane Society has been the prevention of cruelty to animals – wherever that cruelty exists. Upwards of 15,000 animals, from hamsters to horses, cats, and dogs, will turn to us for caring, compassion, and hope this year alone.
